We have shared with you our journey in Girls Build LA for this year, but our journey doesn’t end here. We have a partnership with SWE - the Society of Women Engineers. We are in the process of creating our own SWE club at school. We have had requests from the Palmdale City Library from patrons, they have asked if we will continue with STEM workshops over the summer. Honestly, we’ve been so busy that we were thinking about taking a break, but if there is a need in our community, our desire is to fulfill it! We have to keep kids inspired over the summer. We will start a summer STEM club for students of all ages and from all schools. Our goal during the summer will be to continue to serve our community and teach children more about STEM!
As time progresses we will be updating our website with more events, we will help SAGE Academy run their own GBLA team next year, and we will continue to support our team at Palmdale Learning Plaza. We would love to start our own teams at our high schools next year, and will continue to outreach in our community. We will create more change and we will reach gender equality, by closing the gender gap in STEM!
